QR check-in

Check people in from any phone, even when the Wi-Fi drops

Every EventVidia ticket, guest pass and expo badge carries a QR code. Your door team opens a staff link on their own phones, scans, and sees live counts; there is no app to install and no hardware to rent.

What you get

  • Scan from any phone camera, with no app to install
  • Live check-in counts shared across every door phone
  • Admit the rest of an order with one tap after a scan
  • Keeps scanning offline from a list saved before doors, and syncs later
  • Age checks for child tickets before admitting
  • A printable door list for when a pass will not scan
  • Optional: only signed-in team members can scan
  • Tickets, guest passes and badges can be added to the phone wallet: the pass page shows Add to Apple Wallet on an iPhone, iPad or Mac, Add to Google Wallet on an Android phone, and both on other computers. The wallet pass carries the same QR the door scans.

Questions

Do door staff need an account?

Not by default: the staff link is enough. Turn on “Require sign-in to scan” and only people on your team, signed in, can scan.

What happens if the internet goes down at the door?

The scanner checks tickets against a list saved on the phone and syncs the check-ins when the connection returns.

Can a ticket be used twice?

No. A second scan shows that it was already admitted, and when.
