Questions
Can I take card payments at the door without a card reader?
Yes. Today the buyer pays on their own phone by scanning a QR code on your screen. Tap to Pay on your own phone, with no reader to buy, is coming soon in the EventVidia app.
Where does the money from door card sales go?
It is processed by Stripe through EventVidia like an online sale and paid out to you with your ticket sales. Cash stays with you.
Can I stop people with a leaked link from scanning?
Yes. Turn on “Require sign-in to scan” for the show, and only people you have added to the show’s team, signed in, can scan or sell.
Does it work if the venue Wi-Fi drops?
Scanning keeps working from a list saved on the phone before doors and syncs when the connection returns. Selling needs a connection.
